Although I spent several years in Australia I never encountered a platapus and therefor thought to look up more on it . . the World Book Kids did a nice job of it with a picture, etc. . . this is the only mammal to lay eggs . . . 1-3 leathery eggs . . .

In exploring countries I looked at Patagonia and discovered a lot and found the magazine articles very useful with color photos, etc. that would be of great use to patrons.

The Discover part I found a bit limiting but good for those who might have reading challenges. The descriptions are well done.

I was looking for a few more items but didn't get far and it might be because it was too specialized. . .

Welcome aboard, Book Arts! Thanks for your observations about World Book. As you have noted, the more specific your search, the less likely you are to get results, but you are more apt to get results in World Book Advanced than the others. I hope you'll take some time to play with the many special features World Book offers and share this resource with your patrons.
